Duke Lands Five-Star Twins Cameron and Cayden Boozer
The Duke Blue Devils, renowned for their basketball legacy and strong camaraderie, have added two five-star recruits from the Class of 2025. Cameron and Cayden Boozer, twin sons of former two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer, join “The Brotherhood,” Duke’s close-knit basketball community.
Both have been on the national radar since middle school, with Cameron ranked No. 2 and Cayden No. 17 in the ESPN 100. They attend Christopher Columbus High School in Miami and have played for Nightrydas Elite on the EYBL circuit throughout their high school careers.
Cameron Boozer: The Consistent Performer
Cameron Boozer, a 6-9 forward, may not rely on flashy plays, but his consistent production on both ends sets him apart. He led the EYBL in scoring and rebounding last spring, averaging 24.5 points and 13.4 rebounds per game, guiding his team to a Nike Peach Jam victory in July.
His success extends internationally. Cameron won two gold medals with USA Basketball at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in 2023, averaging 16.8 points and 9.8 rebounds, highlighted by a 24-point, 12-rebound performance. This past summer, he earned MVP honors at FIBA, posting 20.1 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, including 24 points and 13 boards in the title game against Italy.
Cameron Boozer stands out for his offensive polish, high basketball IQ, power, and patience—traits rarely seen in someone so young. His game draws comparisons to top players like Paolo Banchero. He is projected to be the second overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Cayden Boozer: Versatile Playmaker
Cayden, a 6-foot-5 combo guard, brings a different but equally valuable skill set to Duke. He can play point or two guard, with excellent court vision, passing ability, and versatility.
Like his brother, Cayden has succeeded at the highest level, winning two gold medals with USA Basketball. He led the U17 World Cup in assists, averaging 6.4 per game. Under duress, he makes brilliant plays thanks to his physicality and reliability, making him an ideal asset to Duke’s team.
Both Boozer twins are projected first-round picks in the 2026 NBA Draft. Cameron combines outlet passing reminiscent of Kevin Love with the offensive polish and power of a top prospect like Paolo Banchero.
Cayden’s ceiling may not match Cameron’s, but his size, playmaking, scoring, and defensive ability make him a promising NBA prospect. Scouts will closely monitor the development of both brothers.
Duke Strengthens 2025 Class
The Boozers are the first commits for Duke’s 2025 class, following an impressive 2024 class that included presumptive first overall pick Cooper Flagg and potential top-10 pick Khaman Maluach.
Under Jon Scheyer, Duke is quickly reestablishing itself in college basketball’s hierarchy. With back-to-back top-ranked recruiting classes, the Blue Devils are laying the groundwork for long-term success following Mike Krzyzewski’s departure.
